Mi Sheberach List

There is a Jewish tradition to say a prayer of healing for any individual when the Torah is present in front of the congregation. It could be anytime, and at our synagogue it's on Shabbat morning. The prayer is called Misheberach after its first Hebrew word in the phrase "May the One Who blessed our ancestors, also bless..."

The rabbi can say a name out loud for you, or silently to himself on your behalf, and of course you can do the same. Letting us know about someone in need of healing in any sense -- physical, emotional, or spiritual -- also lets us reach out to you, to support you, and to find out if there is anything else our community might be able to do.
