Sunday, March 30, 2025 1 Nisan 5785

9:30 AM - 12:00 PMTemple Beth Abraham

“Eye Diseases Every Adult Should Know About” will be the topic of discussion by Dr. Faith Birnbaum, March 30, 2025, at 9:30 AM, LIVE IN PERSON at Temple Beth Abraham. The Southern New Hampshire Jewish Men’s Club is proud to sponsor this important and informative presentation.

Following her graduation from Brown University, Faith continued her education earning her MD from the Alpert Medical School at Brown University.  Following her Internship, Faith completed her Residency in Ophthalmology at Duke University in Raleigh, North Carolina and a Fellowship in Glaucoma at Harvard affiliated Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston.  At Mass Eye and Ear, Dr. Birnbaum was awarded a Heed Fellowship, a competitive merit-based award for contributions to the field of Ophthalmology for research on Quality-of-Life metrics among patients with Glaucoma.  With more than 20 peer reviewed publications in Ophthalmology, Dr. Birnbaum is passionate about delivering the highest standard of evidence-based care and is uniquely qualified to share some important information with us.

Faith’s discussion will include brief overviews and lead us to understand the most common eye diseases affecting both adults and children. Conditions that will be discussed will include cataracts, dry eye and age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, amblyopia strabismus and styes.  Attendees will be able to incorporate this information into their own lives and allow them to be more informed about when to see an eye doctor and when to take children to an eye doctor.

Following Faith’s presentation we will have a Question-and-Answer session. Please be sure to join us on Sunday, March 30th for Dr. Birnbaums’ important and informative talk.
