Interfaith Post-Election Peace Vigil at Nashua City Hall

Wednesday, November 6, 2024 5 Cheshvan 5785

10:00 AM - 11:00 AMNashua City Hall, 229 Main St., Nashua

Join Rabbi Jon and many Greater Nashua faith leaders downtown to stand together on our Main Street in front of our City Hall on the day after this year’s election, Wednesday, November 6 at 10:00 am. We want to be together to celebrate freedom and democracy, and to be a presence for peace at a time of possible conflict.

We know that the election, however it turns out, will be greeted by people in our community with different emotions for different people — joy, hope, relief, grief, fear. We know that the divides that are manifest during the campaign will not go away when one candidate or party comes out ahead of the other. We also know that when there is conflict in the nation, the most vulnerable people suffer even more.

So even though we will be voters whose candidates won or lost or both, we will be together after Election Day for the sake of a broader peace, for the sake of freedom and safety for all, hoping to help everyone quiet the anger and link hands.
